Review for Center Pointe Apartments

First the good points: The apartments at Center Pointe are spacious and relatively new. The appliances are reliable, and the heating/air conditioning split units work very nicely.

We love the swimming pool in the summer. The fitness room is nice, too (some of the equipment is a little beat, but they seem to be upgrading and adding new treadmills and such). The laundry room is convenient, if you don't wish to purchase your own washer/dryer.

Plenty of parking (private garages are available, too). The snow removal in the parking areas has been great. (They're a little slower with the walking paths -- we often have to shovel our own way from our door to the parking lot, and the paths are often slick.)

It's a fairly quiet and safe area.

The bad points: While the area is quiet, there is little or no sound insulation between units. Even if you don't have an especially noisy upstairs neighbor, you will hear their every move. The doors within the unit are cheap plastic, and offer no sound barrier within your own living space, either.

If you chose a downstairs unit, be aware that the AC units for both your own and your upstairs neighbor's apartments are outside the master bedroom window. They are LOUD.

It is difficult to get ahold of anyone in the office if you need maintenance, and they will act like your request is a huge hassel. Getting anything done will require quite a bit of nagging, even if it is a maintenance issue that is damaging your apartment (i.e. flooding from an upstairs neighbor's apartment).

They no longer allow dogs.

All in all, the apartment complex itself is pretty nice, but the management leaves something to be desired.
