Review for Avalon Green Apartments

These units show very well and it's very easy for somebody to get carried away by that. But you need to speak to the residents to get a true picture. In my opinion, Avalon used substandard materials to construct this place and as a result, the insulation material leaves much to be desired. The units heat up like a furnace during the summers and the heaters are constantly working during winters trying to keep the place warm. God bless you if you decide to get one of those units with a loft built-in - the heater will be work non-stop during winters trying to warm up the place. And no, they didn't put multi-zone thermostats in these units. So the heater is going to toil very hard to warm up the entire area.

We too fell for their usual tricks (one month free rent, reduced security deposit, etc.). No one prepared us for the monstrous utility bills. Even with gas prices down by a third from their historical peak, we are averaging utility bills between $400-500 per month. Even my friends in single-family homes don't pay that much. Can you imagine what these bills would look like if gas prices shot up again?

From time to time...you will see the scariest looking bugs emerging from your vents all over the house. And neighbors have complained about rats in their units.

This is the only Avalon that doesn't have a gym. So you are going to pay that yearly amenities fees for a pool that remains open during 4 months of the year.
