Not Pet Or Visitor Friendly

I've lived here for about a year and a half, and I used to think it wasn't bad for a 2 bedroom. There are amenties like laundry in apartment and covered parking. But I would rather pay a broker's fee than live here longer. They're realy strict about parking and pets. You need to get a permit for any visitors who park overnight now. It used to be for two nights, but not necessarily two nights in a row. They don't give warnings. My roommate's boyfriend got booted for parking in visitors too much. We talked with the office to see if we could do anything, but basically he ended having to buy another spot. It is NOT pet friendly. The only reason the office likes pets is because they earn so much money off the huge non-refundable deposit and extra pet rent. In less than two years, I was just told my dog wasn't allow to walk in the grassy area next to the office, can go to the bathroom on certain trees, and the office sent a nasty letter that my dog is not allowed to kick mulch around and "destroy" the public area. In 2006, rent increased about $50 and they started charging for water. So estimate a 5% increase each year. They may also send you letters asking for more money because they can't read the financial section of your lease or can't track your payments. So be very careful financially and re-calculate everything twice. I'm paying $1815, for a 1 year lease, including pet rent, water, and 2 extra parking spots (one for my roomate and one for her boyfriend). Gas/electice runs $100-150 extra. There's an extra application fee per person and annual fees for maintenance, nonrefundable pet deposit ($500).

Fyi There's only enough hot water for one 5-7 min shower, and you have to wait 15 min. for the water to reheat, otherwise expect it to go cold in the middle of the 2nd shower. Insulation is not good. Make sure you're really comfortable with parking. Spots are really tight and a lot of people, including myself, my friend, and roommate's boyfriend, have damaged our cars.
