They had a posting on Craigslist and they were taking about $100 of the regular price of a 1BR and giving the first month free so I immediately went there to view the apartment. While I was filing out the application I decided to search some ratings and I saw how horrible they were on this site and others so I made up my mind not to move in but since I was already there I figured what the heck, I'll just view the apartment anyway. The unit I looked at had beige carpeting throughout and there were bleach spots the size of oranges all throughout the floor of the apartment. The leasing agent told me that I had a choice of getting the spots dyed which ran the risk of bleeding onto the outer parts of the stains that weren't bleach therefore still having uneven spots throughout the whole apartment OR get a whopping $100 off of my common area fee which was $250/yr (they failed to mention this on CL). How ridiculous!!! Replace the **** carpet! And then she informed me of the $30/month trash fee (also, failed to mention on CL). The credit check fee was $75 but you HAVE to put down a $500 deposit before they can even run your credit and if all comes back well and you don't take the place then you forfeit your $500 deposit so the credit check is all or nothing with them. I'm so glad I read the reviews before being trapped in this place....look elsewhere.

My first encounter with Ridgeview apartments was over the phone. I spoke with a very professional friendly leasing agent. She gave me all the information I needed and even directions to the property and we set up an appointment for the weekend. When I arrived at Ridgeview she was waiting and greeted me by name. We toured the property which is beautifully landscaped. I was unable to see a 1 bedroom apartment which is what I was interested in but I was able to see a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath. I was told the living room size and the bedroom size of that floor plan was the same as the 1 bedroom. I was very impressed at how well the model was decorated and I loved the open kitchen and the fact that the kitchen had plenty of cabinet space. The leasing agent was very knowledgeable and courteous and answered all of my questions and she even gave me suggustions on how to arrange my furniture in my new apartment home. Once we were done with the tour she gave me a site map so that I could pick out which location would be best for me based on the apartments available for my move in time period. I love the location of Ridgeview. I work in Hawthorne so I'm only about 10 minutes from work. I did lease at Ridgeview and my experience so far been a good one. I have had some maintenance issues but once I place a call in for my issues they have been resolved within 24 hours. Compared to other apartment communities in the area Ridgeview has the best location and for your money is the most affordable apartment home in Westchester County. I would recommend this community to all my friends.

Right before I read these reviews, I went to the complex. It is a nice complex and the room is indeed very clean. It is samll (only 652 square feet for one bed-room). But you get what you pay. I signed a contract which is $1400 for 12 month but I get 1.5 month free. So it goes down to 1225 per month, which is pretty good.

You will get washer/dryer in unit and even get covered parking lots which I found very good in snowy state. Maybe I am just lucky or maybe my broker did some work for me.
I havent moved in yet but seems quite good to me.
