Review for Colony Park Apartments

I left this complex after 2 years of car vandalism, downstairs neighbors chronic complaining of my "heavy walking",constantly broken appliances and serious mold and centipede problems. The worst part is trying to get your security back. I went back for 2 days after moving and cleaned it thoroughly with the help of a cleaning service. When they came to inspect they charged me for things already needing repair from previous renters. They actually feel the sides of the fridge and then charge for invisible "scratches". Also the inspector got on his hands and knees over the entire carpet. Then charged me $1,200 to replace the entire carpet in the whole apt when he found a stain or two! Of course, I know that they come and clean it and don't replace it for the next tenants. They also charged $10 a piece if a plain light bulb is out or missing. Not only are they unwilling to give the original (or part) of the security back but charge additional inflated fees as well. Charged me 150$ for my LIPA shutoff?? My bill was paid in full until my last day and then transfered to my new home. I understand if I don't give them the extra $300 they want, they take you to court. So beware you may end up needing a lawyer after you leave! Steer clear of this place and any other Heatherwood communities!
