Review for Manor Ridge Apartments

We looked at an apartment. Loved the look of the new cabinets, new paint carpet etc. Once we signed the lease, suddenly we were in an apartment with moldy ceilings, falling apart cabinets, painted counter tops, unfinished repairs, cigarette smell which is still there a year later, nonlocking sliding door. Window we had to tape to keep the baby from freezing and energy bills higher than our 2000 sq foot 100 year old farm house. When we complained, we were told that we were lucky that the old nasty carpet had been cleaned. The floors are so thin that it sounds like the neighbor is landing on your head when they walk across the floor above. Manager rude and uncaring. It's no wonder this place is so empty. Also no play ground. Kids can't even ride their trike on the side walk. It looks like a good deal until you try to live here. Location is great and 2 bed apt is about 900 sq feet. Next time we will pay more and get a better deal.
