Review for The Chimneys Apartments

If I knew then what I know now I never would have rented here. This place is a den of thievery and break-ins. The management tries to clean it up but to no avail. There have been 25 reported cases of stolen cars, burglaries and 2 assaults in the last 6 months alone. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have this neighborhood red-zoned in the Baker-1 police district and there never seems to be any peace with noisy neighbors, and inconsiderate people blasting their booming music at all hours of the day and night. Although there have been numerous juvenile delinquents and their families evicted from this complex, it does little to change the face of this residential neighborhood as it needs a major facelift. Although the management is polite the man in charge is more concerned with saving money than to invest in this community. It looks dirty, the indoor appliances are horrifically outdated, and any maintenance call made MAY get answered days later by someone who cant speak English and doesnt have the common sense to announce his presence before trying to gain access to your residence. It is alarming how the management does little to accommodate the concerns of its tenants and this is the only time in my life I have actually considered breaking a lease. I DO NOT recommend this place. Stay away from it as though it were a leper colony.
