Review for Willowridge Apartments

We moved in to Willow Ridge apartments on July 8 2005. To begin with, we were decieved on the conditions of the premises, we were shown something that did not at all model what we moved into. Also, when we did lease, and move into an apartment, the apartment was filthy, it was full of roaches and cobwebs and dirt from the previous renter. The company had said the apartment would be clean and in livable condition. It was neither. The day after we moved in, they moved us back out to replace the carpeting which should have been done before we moved. During the re-moving process, our belongings were damaged, by the carpenters THEY HIRED. As months went on we became more disatisfied by the amount of crime that took place in the complex. We were lead to believe the complex was a safe enviorment. We have seen S. W.A.T. entry into a neighboring apartment. We have had two mountain bikes stolen off our property(reported to apartment)no response. The police arrested a suspected murderer from our neighboring apartment building. When we went to the head of management in fear of our safety, we were told their hands were tied. A few months passed and new management was brought on, but the problems did not cease. Sunday June 18,2006, gunshots went off in the apartment across the way. We called the police and they filed a report. Wednesday June 21, 2006 five cars including ours were broken into on the premises. $1,000.00 worth of damage was done to our car. When we reported this again to the management after filing a police report, their response was "sorry". This is not a safe enviornment to live in. The upkeep is poor. They do not consider the lives of their tenants as important as the rent check. The only reason we have not left is because to break the lease is an obsurd amount of money, and we prefer to keep our renting record clear. The apartments are not monitored, only when a report has been filed do police come to the premises. We fear for our safety everynight.
