Apartment Review for Park Ridge Estates

I have been living here for two years and it has been HORRIBLE from the start. All the reviews about the staff is true. The one person I actually liked here is gone. The manager is rude and doesn't try to help with anything. My boyfriend's job was transferred to Greensboro shortly after singing our second year lease and they told us we had to give a 30 day notice and pay two months rent to move out. I have never had to do that anywhere else. Other complexes have worked with me during moves for job reasons because they realize if you can't go to work, you can't pay your bills. It is now three months from the next lease and my job had moved to Winston Salem. They still want us to go through the same BS to move out. We went through bed bug extermination shortly after moving in and they only agreed to pay for half. The staff uses the excuse that they are short staffed but the manager doesn't even come back from lunch when she is supposed to. We had to call the regional manager to ask a question because no one else in the office could and the manager was 3 hours past her lunch and still no one knew where she was. They want to charge us for having a set of stackable recycling bins under the stairs that we share with our neighbor (we live in the basement). The apartments are nice but most of the people that live here are ghetto and my neighbors car has been broken into 5 times in the parking lot and so was my boyfriend's. In addition someone tried to steel my car! Instead of putting cameras in the parking lot, they made a dog park and sprayed all the driveways with asphalt (which was just like painting it, it didn't do anything for all the cracks). We pay our rent every month on time or usually before the first and we have referred friend's here (of course we let them know all of the pros and cons first). To sum it all up, these people care about nothing but collecting the rent and their paychecks. They ARE NOT here to help you. They seem very nice until you actually move in and need something. TRUST ME, YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE IF YOU ARE A DECENT PERSON.
