Happy to call this home!! ( over a year ago )

Ive lived here for almost a year now, and can't wait to renew my lease. Apartment hunting in this area was not a fun trip for me. Several places wanted me to sign a lease before I saw any of the apartments itself, and I even put in a deposit for another apartment and set a move in date with them before the current tenant said they decided not to leave and I was told "too bad." When I stumbled upon Park Ridge Estates, I was pleasantly surprised! The people in the office were so helpful and professional. In other offices I felt like I didnt get much help or respect because I am young, but Park Ridge was a different story.
The buildings are older (built in the mid 80s i think I was told?)and some of my appliances are older as well, but it has been a wonderful experience to live here! I can submit work orders with ease on the website, and each one I submitted received a response the very next day. I once had a leak by the window after a big storm, and the workmen fixed it the next day, sealed it, and after several bad storms, have never had a problem since. To my fortune, I have never seen mice or roaches or anything of the sort since I've lived here.
The landscaping is also beautiful! The drive through the front entrance is pleasant, and the grounds are well kept. It's a friendly neighborhood and I always feel safe. The parking lots are well lit, so I feel safe walking to my car or taking out the trash. The pool area is also very nice, and recently redone if I recall correctly. Grills nearby the pool are a plus as well!
If you choose to live at Park Ridge Estates, I hope you have as much of a pleasant experience as I have! I am so happy to call this place my home and love the convenience of being near so many restaurants and shopping centers.

I moved in about 1.5 weeks ago. Upon move in my stove did not work, my oven door did not shut, my patio door did not lock, my washer hook up was so layered in paint that I was unable to screw the hose on (maintenance ruined my hoses after trying to force them on the hook up anyway), and my bathtub faucet was completely rusted through with mildew falling out each time the water was turned on. It took maintenance 2 weeks to fix these problems (which should have been addressed before I moved in). When I confronted management about these issues they were unapologetic, unhelpful and downright rude. The manager even raised her voice at me while making excuses for her sub-par maintenance staff! Talk about customer service! Not to mention, not one member of the management is over the age of 30. I guess experience has its advantages. I will admit that Park Ridge is cost effective, so I suppose you get what you pay for...I would opt for a smaller more expensive place with a nicer, cooperative, professional staff; it’s worth it.

This is my first apartment and my first experience living out on my own. the place is really nice but i feel that it could be better. I enjoy the proximity to Southpoint mall. So far my neighbors have been very nice. I like the new office staff.

I lived there for 2 years. Trash definately is an issue. People leave it outside their doors for days and its enough to make you hurl walking up the steps. Parking is crazy. The maintenance guys never come or never really get the job done. The management staff which had been changed at least twice during my 2 years never seems to know what they are talking about. They are extremely rude, young, disorganized, and unprofessional. When it was time to move out no one did anything, I had to call them and ask them what the procedure was as far as what to do with the keys and where will my mail go...one of the guys tells me well if you come up here and I have time I'll deal with it. There were also a string of car break ins. My boyfriend got his cd player and his licence plate stolen from his car. I really liked Park Ridge at first thats why i moved there but all the extra BS just got out of hand. I wouldnt recommend them right now.

I've lived here for three years and will be leaving as soon as my lease runs out. Trash never gets picked up from the common areas (which may say something about who they rent to now), maintenace never seems to get it quite fixed, the work out room looks great but you can't have more than one person on the three treadmills or the fuse blows. BTW - this has been going on for at least two years! Very disappointed!

I lived here 3 years. They are going down. I'll say the good first. Affordable rent. Top floors have high ceilings. Manicured lawns. Woodcroft walking trails behind them. A back entrance through neighborhood ($300,000 homes). Near Southpoint. Dog park down the street. Lots of grass for dog to relieve themselves.
#1 They don't hire enough employees and it affects everything, why? The mainanance won't come on time unless your air conditioning is out or you have a plumbing emergency. It is clean but I have noticed if a peice of trash is thrown down, it will sit there for 5 days. THEY JUST DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE SO THEY PATCH UP THINGS JUST TO MAKE IT SO THEY CAN GO TO ANOTHER JOB.
#2 It's quiet, but it depends on who your neighbors are. At one time I had an arguing couple under me. They stopped after the cops were called.
#3 The rent keeps going up. This is normal, but it's too much. It's affordable now, but I don't know how long. I was in a 1 bedroom and had a 1 year special. $475-$535-$599-$635 Rent should not go up $100 on by the 4th leasing year.
#4 Dim parking lot. Parkings not the best but you won't have to walk a block or anything.
When I told them I wanted to move into a 2 bedroom they said they couldn't give me a "new resident deal". So they would rather I move?? Somebody must have no idea what good business practices or customer service is.
It depends on what you want. The location and ammenties (walking track) are good, but you might have a 30% change of getting loud neighbors. The maintanance might not show up.
