Review for Eastbrook Apartments

Do NOT move into Eastbrook. This place fucking sucks. My car got towed from in front of my own apartment. Along with parking stickers, shouldn't they give the company they have a contract with the license plate numbers of the residents who live here? Hello...! Cheap, plastic parking stickers can and do fall off. Also, I've had nothing but problems since I moved here. Strange smells in the apartment and in the closet by the door(3 of my neighbors have complained of the same problem), TERRIBLE insulation (my utility bill is ridiculous), you aren't allowed to have guests at the pool(if you want to bring someone you have to pay $3 for them..you aren't even allowed ONE guest, even if it's someone in your family or a young child), one of my ceiling fans randomly quit working, the people who work in the office are EXTREMELY rude and I have heard them say negative, rude and deragatory things about other residents. Whenever you try to make a suggestion to them or if you call with a concern or problem, they get very defensive and rude towards you (again, I've heard other people complain about this). At one point, they allowed 6 Latino men to live in an apartment together...and they were unrelated. Now we all know the laws about housing.. ONLY 3 unrelated people allowed to live together. When the girl who lives across from me brought it to the attention of the management, they yelled at her and said "it's none of your business, and we're working on getting them apartments". Also, when I signed the lease agreement I was PROMISED a downstairs apartment towards the front of the complex. What do I have? An upstairs apartment at the very back of the complex. The only good thing about this place is the pool. Oh, and they don't even clean it. I've seen RESIDENTS cleaning it out because the people who work here are too lazy to do it. The guys who do the maintenance are actually nice, but I did come home one day after they had been here to find my water still running and my toilet seat up (it had been down when I left). So, if you or anybody you know is thinking about moving to Eastbrook PLEASE don't. You can find nicer apartments with a nicer property management group for the same price or maybe slightly more. And trust me, had I known all this shit was going to occur, I would have been MORE than willing to pay more to live somewhere else.
