Green Mill Run Apartments Are So So Not Great Not

The apartments are close to school so that is a perk. They are not too expensive. You get a personal parking space. I feel pretty safe when I am there. And a few of the apartments are descently quiet if you live in the same building and few apartments near the apartment manager. But it seems that most are not. Neighbors there also tend to keep to themselves. It is funny b/c every single person there that I have met is like, " you know people around here are not too freindly. You are the only one who has been friendly to me sice I have lived here." Another thing about the place is to watch sales tactics, since they are not entirely truthful. But I suppose when you have such conditions to work with, one must embellish. The apartment manager there will say it is a quiet, professional place. Most of the people living there are college students. She will say that there is ac. There is only an ac box in the living room, so try to sleep in your bedroom in the summer and maybe you'll not die of a heat stroke if you have like three or four fans blowing on you while you sleep. She will also tell you that the average bill there is $60 or 70 a month. Haha that is not true either. The average bill there is going to be about $95 for a one bedroom and that is if you are frugal about it. You cannot have pets, but allot of people do. My bedroom there reeks of cat litter from a previous tenant. The apartments are not very pretty at all. The floor boards on the second floor squeak allot, which is extremely uncomfortable. Like 70 percent of the tenants there smoke, so in the hot months the smoke will go right into your ac box if you live above someone who smokes. My lungs caused me great pain all summer b/c of this. They say you get free cable, which is like 20 channels or something. The apartments don't have the best smell, but you can air out the cabinets in some. They need a ton of mainenance. When I first moved in my faucet pressure was so low, it took three to five minutes to wash one pan. But you feel bad about asking for maintenance b/c they are very stingy about it. The cabinets are moldy and stinky. My ac box also has this horrific smell, but it is like if you ask them to fix it, they will see you as someone who is a "complainer", and act like you are a pain for asking abou it. Also when I moved in there was crust on the kitchen floor, the top lock of my door didn't work, my ceiling fan was covered in dust....etc. Most apartments there are really not pleasently serine and quiet. The walls are paper thin. I changed apartments in this complex to get some peace and quiet by moving closer to where the apartment manager lives. Unfortunately she has not been very nice to me, which has afforded me the chance to move to a better and nicer place, where I won't be treated in such an unprofessional manner. In fact if you make this woman mad, she looks up your emergency contact numbers and calls your family just to embellish a story or two to them (sort of like she embellishes as she is trying to get you to buy into the lease). Sounds like a nice place to live now, doesn't it? But not to fear, this woman is supposed to retire soon...so maybe things will change around there sometime in the near future.
