Not The Worse, Could Be Better

Rented: From 2000 To 2007

I've lived here for 7 years, but not entirely by choice. I initially came to live with relatives while I got my financial act back together. It took a lot longer than I had hoped. Anyway, during the first 3-4 years of my stay, the police were called out at least 2-3 times a week. It was usually for domestic issues. Sometimes people would overdose, or there would be break-ins. Management wasn't much help; they pretty much swept things under the rug, they'd let people pay rent weeks later than they should have been. This is why they are no longer here. It got to the point where I would be embarrassed to tell people where I lived. It's gotten better since new management took over, but it's time to go. Now that I can now afford to move, the sooner I'm out of here, the better.

Didn't you mention you were living with someone? If you were, then you can not complain about someone else's neighborhood. I'm sure it was better than being homeless. How ungrateful can you be. I am a resident now and the neighborhood you are describing is not the resident I live in.
