We live in Page Meadows, which is currently managed by Coldwell Banker.* The property manager, Julie Poston, is awesome. She moved in and became onsite-manager after complaints got out of hand. She seems to be fighting an uphill battle with Coldwell Banker though - Julie wants quality tenants, Coldwell Banker seems to just want the money. It should be noted that a fair number of those complaints preceeding Julie becoming the onsite manager came from us; Coldwell Banker did not seem interested in resolving them.

With Julie (ALWAYS contact Julie, not Coldwell Banker), repairs are made within 24 hours. She's done a lot to improve the place, and this building is in MUCH better condition than when we moved in. Each unit is remodeled when the previous tenant moves out. Utilities are reasonable; no pest problems (beyond the human kind); and problem tenants are quickly evicted.

The walls are a little thin (you hear a little TOO much in the ajoining bathrooms), and the kid upstairs needs to be taught that jumping in the kitchen while wearing combat boots is not a good idea; beyond that things are good. You don't have to worry about heat in this place, the insulation is insane! We didn't turn on our heat until January.

From what I understand, this is one of the relatively few apartments in Fargo that'll let you have cats; we have four. It should be noted that cats are allowed AS LONG AS YOU DECLARE THEM FIRST! Our neighbors across the hall decided they wanted cats too, and snuck in a couple to avoid paying the pet deposit ($100/critter); the smell and noise was astonishing. We also have a 75gallon saltwater aquarium; these need to go near a load-bearing wall (of course), and Julie will probably approve it so long as you ask first. Basically, be a responsible and courteous tenant, and Julie will treat you the same.

Parking can be problematic, and there is a waiting list for garage space. Under Julie's supervision, I'd recommend this place to anyone. Under Coldwell Banker's, I'd say caveat emptor.

*The management of this building is a little confusing. My understanding is that Julie was the original property manager, before we moved in. The owners transferred some of his properties to Coldwell Banker; Page Meadows was one of them. The owner was so unhappy about the quality Coldwell Banker offered after the contracts were signed that he made Coldwell Banker hire Julie for the duration of the contracts, after which Coldwell Banker will no longer be part of the equation.
