Review for Heritage Green Apartments

ATTENTION POTENTIAL RESIDENTS - A recent change in policy now forbids outdoor grilling on one's generous-sized patio and/or storage of all forms of personal outdoor grills in favor of inconvenient, unsanitary, maintenance-heavy community park-sized charcoal grills. Take a number, if you want to cook out and be prepared to drag all your necessary equipment back and forth. FYI - no outdoor pavillions or picnic tables! So much for reducing A/C energy consumption and good eats at home! DRACONIAN!

Supposedly, this will help prevent fires; however, in terms of fire prevention, the use of and fire-prevention maintanence (chimneysweep cleaning of chimneys and flues) in townhouses that have woodburning fireplaces in which one could feasibly cook has not been addressed nor implemented. To be fair, fireplaces are equipped with inadequate cheap screens and hearth areas; no mantels. Furthermore, woodburners without glass screens are energy wasters. Will management also make sure that the correct/clean types of wood are being used in same. Not to mention that CO2 emissions from burning wood is bad for the environment anyway. Are these not potential fire hazards'

So, residents are smart enough to use fireplaces responsibly but not bar-b-que grills'

This complex is missing a dazzling opportunity to live its name as a "green" community. No front door screens, no ceiling fans, canned lights that don't accommodate the new energy efficient bulbs.
