Review for 315 N. Main Apartments

I have been very happy with living here. The apartment is a good size with everything I need. It is located on the edge of downtown and is very quiet with the excpetions of some noise from the cars passing on the street and the bar crowd screaming around 2:30 every Thur, Fri, and Sat. I never hear my neighbors and the businesses downstairs are also quiet. The apartment is all electric and the rates are much cheaper than I expected. I have been through a few winter months with the highest bill for electric being around $35. The kitchen is small, with very little counter space, but works for daily needs. Parking is a bit of an issue, some residents can get passes to park behind the building in between efficencys also managed by John Newlove. The parking is sparce and spaces tight. If you leave before 9am, there is a metered lot on the side of the building that you can park in overnight and all weekend. I came in on a sublease so the apartment did not have a fresh coat of paint and the freshest carpet, however I have rented from John Newlove before and the walls were patched and painted before I moved in. The carpet in my last aprtment was really bad, but he agreed to put in new carpet before I moved in, and it was brand new for me. I have had no major matinence issues, all minor issues have been taken care of in a quick manner. I know John Newlove has a bad rep. in Bowling Green, but he has been kind to me and always greets me with a hello and smile when I go into the office. I think most people have problems with him when they are late with their rent, if you are a good tenant, he is a good land lord.
