Review for Winthrop Terrace Apartments

My boyfriend and i recently moved out of Winthrop in May 2008. I would say, we are farely clean people. Anyways, towards the end of our move out process, we spend about 4 days cleaning our apartment. Although, it wasn't bad to begin with, we wanted to make sure we would get our deposit back, hence the endless cleaning and touching up. We scrubed that apartment from head to toe. Vacummed and shampood the carpets endlessly, scrubbed and scrubbed the bathroom kitchen, and every wall and floor endlessly, and it looked as it did when we moved in. Well, winthrop thought otherwise. In return we recieved a measly $50 dollars back, as oppossed to the 300 we were expecting. Overall, i would never rent here again, and i warn anyone interested in signing a lease w/ them. The only good thing about this apartment is the fact that its quiet. Other than that... BEWARE. chances are your NOT going to be getting your deposit back, regardless of how much you clean. They claimed that because of "carpet cleaning labor" and missing lightbulbs, they had to charge us, but $250. I don't think so. In addition, the maintinence sucked. Winthrop installed dishwashers and new sinks towards the end of our lease, and they werent' even installed right. Our sink leaked for the last 3 weeks of our lease (and they never fixed it).RENTERS BEWARE! Winthrop SUCKS!
