Review for Shakertown Apartments

Prior to signing my lease here, I specifically asked about the neighbors and the noise level. Being a first-year full-time graduate student I explained that I needed a quiet environment. Of course I was assured that this was a very serene and peaceful setting. Yeah, not so much!! I have had to call police numerous times due to loud parties with bass that I could both hear and feel throughout my apartment. I have seen a neighbor urinate outside on three separate occasions, including once at 1:30 in the afternoon on a 90 degree day! I should have left during the first month when every morning I was woken up at 7am to the sounds of Latin music blaring in the parking lot below my window and the loud ramblings of drunkards sipping Corona's while working on their car. These men later ran their van through the garages facing the apartment building...
Do yourself a favor and pass on this apartment complex. The property manager is very nice, but save yourself the hassle and look somewhere else.
