I am going to share the good news and the bad news.

The good news about the Apartment: Revere Village Apartments are very cheap. I have a two bedroom (top floor) for $450.00 dollars a month with paid heat.

The bad news about the apartment: The walls are very thin, you will hear people during their intimacy (if you know what I mean), arguments, parties, football games, babies crying, smell of food cooking, doors slamming, stairway creaks, etc. Recently we've been having an overload of ghetto (blacks and whites living the "urban lifestyle") people moving in. I moved from Dayton (East Fifth Street) to here to get away from the ignorance... but now its here. People seriously look like they want to beat us up.. so we end up getting a false sense of security here. I have become so paranoid (despite the police department) that I pack my knife every time I go out jogging. Almost every car that strolls by has a loud stereo blaring (bass amp) and or loud exhaust. I have called the police on one person in particular who would idle their car late at night bumping loud music. The cops did come out and knock on their door. It stopped for a week, but now the kids are bumping their stereos again. I have written the city council asking them to increase the noise ordinance with loud vehicles, but they aren't considering. Kids are playing everywhere.. so you have to drive carefully. But usually people are driving 30 mph over the speed bumps not caring about the kids. This is the bottom line... if you think you're a tolerant person, moving here will definitely test you on how tolerant you really are. I'll be buying out my lease once I get my tax money. I can't stay here too much longer. My girlfriend and I are going nuts!

The good news about the location: You will have close access to Main Street's bus stop, Kroger's, wonderful park, police station, etc. Centerville's library (rated as the best library in America for its size) is located right across the street from the apartments. These are all really good things about the location of the apartment.

The bad news about the location: Revere village Apartments is located across the street of the low income housing in Centerville (Chevy Chase Park Apartments). Which I assume is the reasoning behind the type of people who live here at Revere Village? The sense of poverty is strong around this area. The city tries to keep up the property and make it look nice, but people are constantly inconsiderate and are dumping out their garbage from their cars on the roads and parking lots. They will continue to bump their loud car stereos driving at idle speeds late at night.

What does this conclusion draw? If you're looking for the cheapest and safest place to live.. Revere Village is the best Apartment around (for now). If you're someone who will not like to be disrespected and are less tolerant of others... I am strongly encouraging you to look elsewhere. I mean, we need all the good people here that we can get right now. But just be warned that these new bad people are driving out the honest good people at Revere Village. Be warned, be safe, but most importantly... don't cry about these apartments to anyone, because you have been warned

Please note: I have nothing against Centerville and their Police Department.. just the apartment management and staff for not keeping the riffraff out. If you currently live at Revere Village Apartments and are having problems with people, please contact Sgt. Mark T. Casey of Centerville PD at (937) 433-7661. They are doing the best they can.. but we, the residents, need to do our part to keep the problems out.
