Review for Steeplechase Apartments

i have rented from steeplechase for a year now and have been consistently disappointed with them. The apartment i rented appeared very nice initially until i moved in and began to notice that the carpet is very thin and coming apart in places, the walls were poorly painted, (my ceiling actually never did get repainted and does not match the walls), the lighting in the bathroom is very haywire, sometimes does not work at all and the garbage disposal broke almost immediately. i have called maintence repeatedly and have not heard a word back. Their office management is also very rude, and though they claim to be reasonable, imagine my surprise when my lease was up after a year and they wanted to raise my rent 50 dollars! the washer dryer rooms are tiny and crowded, the closets are not spacius and the balconies seem rather treacherous with wood planks all uneven and sticking up. basically, steeplechase is out to make money and if i were you, i'd look elsewhere. i am moving into a 2 bedroom townhouse in a nice area with a large enclosed patio that is actually cheaper than this crappy 1 bdrm apartment! and they won't raise my rent 50 more dollars next year! RENTERS BEWARE! Its just not worth it.
