Review for Steeplechase Apartments

I was looking to move in there about 3-4 years ago. I went in and filled out the application and paid my app fee and my deposit. I was told that if I wasn't approved I would receive my deposit back but not the app fee (Fine with me I know I don't have the greatest credit due to a divorce). Wwithin a week I received a voicemail stating that I was NOT approved and that they were sorry. This voicemail was left by a male who did not leave his name just stated he was the man who processed my app. A week after that my deposit check was cashed by their office. When I called to complain and get my money back they tried to say I had been approved and never returned their calls so they get to keep the deposit. when I informed them of the voicemail I received they first said since I didn't get a name they couldn't help me then the second time they tried to say no males work there, amazing since I filled out my app with a male and a female. I never got my money back from them. but I guess gettign screwed over once is better then monthly from them.
