I lived in Ravine for about 6 months when my apartment accidentally got shot into. Between my apartment and my neighbors there were about 6 or 7 bullet holes. When I reported this to the Office they began to question and accuse me of having a boyfriend involved in illegal activity. I should have known the area was bad when the day I moved in the police and crime scence van was there. I later discovered there was a shooting. However, I tried to explain to them that I was new to the city and new no one. I then asked for a transfer, and was transfered within the community however only to be charged for the old apartment. The apartment that was mistakenly shot into had black mold on the wall which they refused to look into which caused my daughter with a great deal of asthma problems. This was in 2004 and I drive by sometimes to see nothing has changed.
