Basically: I wish I would've NEVER moved back to Columbus! Crime rate has apparently gone up, and I say that because the VERY FIRST NIGHT I lived here, my friends and I heard gun shots, then emergency vehicles about a half an hour later after that.
And okay, so I don't allow people to smoke in my apartment so my friends respect that and go outside....why is it that I have this neighbor who keeps coming up to them and harrassing them trying to bum them for smokes??? and she even had the nerve one night to knock on my door, make up a lie about her sister loosing her engagement ring in front of my door, asking for a smoke, then disappearing before I even got the flashlight to help her look for the supposed missing ring??? Did I mention she looked like she was (excuse the cliche) higher than a kite???
And the other's on here saying look at the apartment before you move in and take pictures...they are SOOOOO RIGHT!!! This place was NOTHING like what I had seen from the display unit! I say that because of a few things...paint splattered onto the oven and other things and so on but the BIG things that ticked me off about this place was things like my dishwasher and so forth...my dishwasher is NASTY!!! The trays in the machine that I was to put my dishes on were breaking apart, and they were covered in some gross light brown film. I mean not only does it NOT clean the dishes; it goes to leave these green grimmy gunky spots on the dishes after they have been "cleaned". The electricty wiring in the stairway is messed up too...only one switch works at a time....meaning...if you can flip the light on from upstairs...you can't from the downstairs (and vise versa). So, I put a work order in. Maintenance comes to fix the problems...when I got home I still couldn't turn the stairway light on from the bottom switch...but I could from the top. Such crap!
This was my first time living away from my parents so I was excited...unfortunately thanks to this place that feeling did not last too long! Just anger and frustration manifesting now.
But hey the rent is cheap...so as the others said and as the saying goes..."you get what you pay for"... so if you need a cheap place, have tolerance for high-as-a-kite pestering neighbors, appliances/electricity problems, being frustrated with where you live constantly...this is the place for you!!!
