I have no problems with africans. But it is weird to have them as neighbors...Africans cook fish and beans all the time. So the parking lot smells like fish and beans. When you walk past their apartment doors it smells like fish and beans. They lock their keys in their car at least once a week. Then knock on your door to ask for tools so they can break into their own car. Also I dont know why they have doors. they never use them. All summer the front and back door are wide open, and random people come over and eat fish and beans until late hours. When they did have their door closed, they would open it everytime I would leave my apartment. Then check their mail box. So If I left my apartment three times a day 8 am then 2 pm then 7 pm. They would open their door 8 am then 2 pm then 7 pm and check their mail box...weird. My other neighbor who was a women felt uncomfortable because it was always a man that would do the exact same thing to her. Open his door and check his mail no matter how many times she would leave her apartment. Mail only comes once a day. Maybe he hasn't figured it out yet.
As for the apartments... I still live here. Been here for awhile. Thinking about moving. And was checking out some reviews...Ravine Bluff was quiet when I first moved in. But gradually it has gone down hill. I have had some of the same issues others have had. Police are out here often. And the apartment definitely needs some updating and maintenance. Management may not realize it. Certain areas of the complex are worse then others. My friend lives twards the back and he had multiple stories about fights. His neighbors stole out of his car. Its seems that ignorant people are grouped together. And if you want peace and quiet you may be stuck in the middle. And my block seems to be getting like that as I continue to live here. Overall its not to bad for what you pay. I think no matter where you go...when living in a apartment you are going to have problems. As far as recommending these apartments. I dont know. Depends on your situation. And what you dont mind living with. For myself I wouldnt come back. Maybe Im just tired of living here.
