I recently moved into Abbey Lane with my family. The property is under new ownership and management/maintenance is very attentive. I shopped all the properties in Westerville School District along with communities on Morse/161 area and Abbey Lane was by far the best rent for the quality of units!!!! My unit had new cabinets, vanities, flooring, carpet, along with many new appliances. The leasing staff also told me in a couple weeks the property will start the process of being repainted and all new landscaping. If you are looking on the Northeast side I would highly recommend Abbey Lane!

My husband and I moved in here July 15. We worked with Misti, and she was awesome. We have Freddi issues and a small misdemeanor charge, but they checked our rental history and didn't hold the other things against us. When we moved in, they had installed new carpet, a new toilet, new stove and fridge. The size of the apartment is awesome, and the neighbors are friendly. (A little noisy, but I don't mind kids playing noises)

The cons? We have seen a few roaches, and think it's due to the empty apartments next to us. I don't like spray, so we put down roach gel and haven't bothered the office about it. The refrigerator suite was backwards, but my husband put it on straight so it wasn't opening into the wall. The outlet in the bathroom didn't work, and again we took care of that ourselves. (It was a 48 cent part and five minutes work.) The A/C didn't work the second day we were here, but after we tripped the breaker it blew nice and cold.

Final rating? I give it a B-. Call it a handyman special. Great starter apartment. You get what you pay for. Single ladies with no fix-it skills, stay away.

I just moved in 4 months ago and I enjoy Abbey Lane, the staff is wonderful to work with and very polite. I have not had any roaches or anyother bugs in my apartment and as far as the people here, I just keep to myself anyway. If I had any problems maintenance came out right away and handled it and the staff are really concerned about your needs being met. I would recommended coming out and seeing for yourself the area. It works for me!!

I have lived here for a few years. The rent rates are affordable. The property recently came under new management and since then it really seems as if things are turning around for the better. Maintenance is wonderful, the staff is friendly, it seems as if they have cleaned house and gotten rid of the problem residents. I am happy with the positive changes.

When reading these reviews I cannot believe they are for the same place which I am a current resident as I have had none of the problems indicated by the others leaving reviews. I am not sure if the management or staff has changed but I have had nothing other than a great experience. The staff is curteous, maintenance knowledgable, grounds well maintained. For the affordability of the apartments I certainly feel that I am getting my money's worth.

I think it is hilarious that all these people are quick to talk **** about their apartment and this and that, but wont no one say their name!! WHY?!?..you all sound real bad *** running your mouths but ohh no names to go w/these bad *** people!! ive lived here for 3 yrs i dont have ne problems w/ne one, i drive a nice *** car and no one has bothered it, no one has ever tryd to break into none of my ****, i dont have ne problems w/ne kinds of bugs..you people think this kind of **** cant happen ne where?! you could have bugs at easton or polaris, and break ins are more common in nicer areas b/c there is nicer ****..this is apartment living, if you dont like it then go get a freakin house..and thats why people dont get along b/c people like you single people out and yeah that causes problems..and yeah u leave **** all over seats in ur car thats basically asking someone to break-in your **** and take it..and if people would actually read the application it clearly states everything that you need to know but its never YOUR fault for not reading the app, you should always read **** like that i mean hello gettin an apartment is a huge decision and responsibility dont you think you'd wanna take the time to understand what your signing your name to!?..obviously not b/c you'll just turn around and blame the office staff for your dumb mistakes but i guess thats how petty people are these days, and its sad..

I went to Abbey Lane Apts on 9/13/08 which I had 10 days to move out of the place I was staying. I explained that I was in a desperate situation. The Leasing office said that I had put down a $100 to hold an apartment and if I changed my mind I can have my deposit back. So, I paid them a total of $170, which included $100 deposit to hold an apartment and $70 application fee. On 9/19/08, I contacted Abbey Lanes to check the status of my application because I had to move that day. Well, they said they could not reach the person for my previous residencey. I did not want them to contact them because of other issue which I then canceled my application. That is when I learned that it would take 30 days to get my $100 back which I really needed to put down that money on another place. I went in 2 weeks later to ask about the money, 30 days letter, 5 weeks later and each time said that the Leasing had no control of when the money would be back from their Corporate Office in Seattle WA. It is now 6 weeks later and you guessed it no $100. Well, I found another apartment which at the time did not know was under the same Corporate Office and paid again the same $170.00 which if I already paid the same Corporate Office for Abbey Lane the $70 application fee and $100 deposit why did I have to give them more money.

The rent is exteremely cheap. I rarely have had issues with neighbors. If you keep a low profile it isn't a bad place to live. You just need to stay on top of pest control issues, at all times. I read in the other reviews about the shootings and such but I haven't heard about these issues. If you are low on funds, can mind your own business, don't mind keeping up on pest control, you will have no problems here. <P>
