Apartment Reviews for Alexander Square - Columbus

My wife and I moved into these very stylish apartments and thought we'd made a wise choice. We were wrong.

1) They lock you in to a fly-by-night power and water company. You pay for the outside lights on the building. You pay a shared water bill. The power company (American Power & Light?) charges you a much higher rate than AEP. You can never get in touch with anyone at the utility companies, you leave a message and someone gets back to you... eventually. Our power bills were regularly over $200 during the winter months.

2) Parking is awful. I hope you don't have a nice car. They made the spots very narrow to try to squeeze more spaces in, so you can expect plenty of door dings and there still aren't enough spaces.

3) Crappy wiring. The electrical wiring barely meets code. Breakers blew all the time when we tried to use any high-power equipment. We couldn't vacuum or use our electric patio grill unless we ran the cord to the kitchen outlets which are the only ones wired to handle more current.

4) Noise. We expected this to be young professionals. It's not, mostly people in college or just out, and you can expect many noisy nights.
