Apartment Reviews for Estates At New Albany
Horrible, Horrible Experience

I currently (unfortunately) live here right now. My husband was relocated to Ohio for his job, and we needed to move somewhere quickly. I'd heard great things about the New Albany area, and the website for this complex looked very nice. When I worked with the management to sign the lease for the townhome from out of town, they were very helpful and accommodating. I thought, "Okay! This is great." Wrong.
On our move in day, we had never seen the residence before. The grounds were dirty, and the bathrooms in the townhome smelled of stale urine and mildew. We worked and worked to make it "do-able" because we were still in the process of selling our former home and had just moved 12 hours to Ohio. Well... Needless to say, there's still garbage in front of our townhome that's not from us, garbage floating in the pond, and dog poop all over the play areas and sidewalks.
I work from home and I stay home with our infant daughter. Our neighbors were so noisy that I complained -- I'm talking screaming over and over for no apparent reason -- and one night, they woke our daughter by letting fireworks off at 1 am. Well, I complained to management. After a series of complaints, they basically said there was nothing more they could do. They offered to let me move (at my expense), but let's be honest, I'd already seen enough. I didn't want to live here any longer. I complained again, and the Property Manager Andee sent me a snarky email saying I could contact her boss if I want and that I should go to the police in the future. Basically, they didn't care that the neighbors were making a bunch of noise since they'd "lived there for several years." In other words, they liked getting their money.
So, if you want to live in a place that lets garbage float in their pond, have a residence that reeks of stale urine, and have neighbors that are as wild as animals at the Columbus Zoo, look no further. You've found your place. We are moving out of here ASAP. This place is a dump.
