Spring Creek Apartments Columbus Ohio-TERRIBLE!!!

PLEASE READ BECAUSE I DID NOT NOW I AM STUCK!!! I have a number of reasons why you would never want to waste your money or your time with this place. When you first visit the staff is friendly,they show you a nice apartment with all matching appliances, clean carpet, clean bathroom, nice blinds the whole nine. Then they take you back to the office and have u sign a lease, then give you keys to you apartment. My apartment is falling apart water damage in the bathroom because the tub leaks, cabinetry is very cheap and falls apart. Their motto is "fix fix fix till it can't be fixed anymore, even if its old and rotten if it works that's it! Response time for maintenance is horrible. Everything in the apartment is old from the appliances to the carpet, i had a huge red stain in the living room they told me that i could not have new carpet because that was new carpet. Within a month I notice ants and flies, I called them it took them a week to get someone out. There are raccoons in my chimney, scratching and running around all through the night, they got them out but they came back. So did the flies all the through the winter. Also in the winter my washer broke in the middle of a wash, put in work order took three weeks to get it fixed all the while mildew smell is coming from washer. I was compensated for my trips to the laundry mat in the coldest winter ever! CATS! CATS! CATS! Stray cats everywhere, but they won't do anything about them. Probably because of the cost for someone to come out to get them. Not to mention home invasion (people posing as maintenace), car robberies, police helicopters. sirens etc. NO parking on the weekends. The office staff lies to you they really don't care about the people in the community, they pretend to but it is all a front. Please reconsider its all smoke in mirrors!

Thank you for your review and to all the other people who are honest about how bad this place is. I never lived here, therefore, I cannot write a review so I am responding to this. If I were to give a review I would have given them the worst score ever, and that's saying something for someone who never even lived here. BUT, I did realize how horrible this place was a little too late. I did fill out an application, paid the $25 app fee & put down the $74 deposit 2 months before I needed to move in. Since then, I found a nice 2 BR TH for the same price that Spring Creek was asking for a 1 BR Garden....RIDICULOUS!!! So I went to the office to tell them I wasn't going to move in and asked for my deposit back but they said they wouldn't give it to me. I understand the $25 app fee being non-refundable...that's a given everywhere....but never heard of the security deposit being non-refundable if you don't even live in the apartment! So, I've lost $99 to them but at least I won't have the headache and hassle of living in such a crappy place. And at first they wouldn't tell me why they wouldn't give me my deposit back, they just gave me the runaround for 2 weeks before finally I threatened to get my attorney involved that they finally said it was because when I signed the application it stated the deposit would not be returned upon approval. If they just told me that in the first place I wouldn't have taken it so far! I'm sorry for all the problems you endured here but hopefully this review will make people think twice about living here and giving them any money.
This person is telling the truth. I live here and experience the same type of treatment from the management and staff.
