Residents at Water's Edge Luxury Apartments can hop on I-70 and be downtown in a flash from their location just southeast of the city center. Previous tenants loved their lakeside views, quiet community, and immaculate grounds. Reviewers describe management as professional and friendly, citing numerous repair requests that were handled quickly and efficiently. Laundry day is hassle free, as each unit comes equipped with a washer and dryer. Some reviewers felt that some of the complex could use updates, but recent renters report that broken appliances are replaced for new ones at no cost. I lived at Water's Edge for about two years before having to leave Columbus. I've never experienced such excellent service and enjoyed living in any place as I have at Water's Edge. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and if there ever are any maintenace issues, their response time is prompt. The easy access to the freeway makes it a convenient location to downtown. Its a cheap cab ride--I think we only paid like $15 for a cab ride dowtown which was extremely convenient when guest came in town.

Overall, I have the best memories at this apartments. They are clean and properly managed which is why I loved Water's Edge so much.

We really loved living here and only left because we bought our first house. We will actually miss it though! Fiance loved the ponds, I loved the pool, nearby bike/running path, and how quiet and serene it is. We lived there for a long time before we ever even heard other people talk, it was like living in a sound vacuum. Our apartment was a majestic ranch and was very spacious and nice. Beautiful, secluded patio was great. Definitely the envy of our other apartment dwelling friends. You'll read other reviews of the gates being broken sometimes but it wasn't too bad. No bad things to say. Love the summer and winter community parties- lots of fun and very generous with food and drinks :) Highly recommend!

I had always liked this property. The staff was friendly, professional and answers all your questions. The rates are very reasonable for the sq. footage and amenities, too! Unlike some communities that have $$$ deposits, membership fees, etc. There's a walking trail, clubhouse, large pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a biking trail nearby. They do have rent specials and employer discounts. The community is literally at Route 33/I-70's doorstep, though, it is quiet, well-maintained; There's a gatehouse/gated entrance for residents. Very spacious clubhouse, too! It is a nice community.
With that said, it's of note to mention that the surrounding area, particularly at one of the convenience stores next to community, looks like it may have a lot of crime activity. If you don't mind the intrastate, you can get to just about anywhere that has stores, shopping, restaurants, etc. However, there does appear to be a higher police visibilty in the area. Make sure you check your renter's insurance to see if rate goes up! Some of the apt.'s do have security systems installed, and the community is gated, too. I had stopped in a year ago to rent an apt and the jacuzzi was broken then and still is (apparently they are awaiting a part.) The sauna is also closed. I was given the oportunity to walk through the unit I would've rented and noticed that the bathroom floor had a large hairball from a brush, and w/d door was off track. Also, my opinion of the leasing staff has changed in lieu of my circumstances, recently. I had a close friend pass away and decided not to live here-cancelling within 3-wks. Since the waitlist has so many on it, I doubt they would have trouble re-leasing the only avail unit. I had sent a few emails to them and also called and left msg. Not one response. I also wanted to know if that same unit that I was going to rent was still avail as I really wanted to live here! I wasn't even given the option to be put on the waitlist, or to see if I wanted to delay my move-in date in lieu of circumstance. Not even a 'I'm sorry about your friend or the death.' No follow-up...just a cancellation letter. (though I did request this.) Apparently, they're too frustrated with me. It's a shame, because I really felt that they were personable, caring people. It's a sales job, and part of that role is customer service in ALL cases. I would've been a good tenant. I felt like Heidi dropped the ball. Would I still recommend? For the reasons in first paragraph, yes! However, you might want to check on crime rates for area. The interstate traffic will be congested during peak travel communtes, too. As for customer svc, I'm giving them a 3/5.

Heidi and Angela- the leasing staff here are GREAT! I can't say enough about them. I had been looking for an apt. and was set to move in this August, however, due to reasons beyond my control, I had to unfortunately, change my plans. I felt so bad having to cancel, however, this is one apt. community that you MUST check out. Very nice apts. for the price, amenities...similar amenities without all the deposits, extra fees-like membership fees, spacious 2-bedroom units with walk-in closets in both. Nice views, though there is minor upcharges for views, upgraded units, storage units, and for garage; however, VERY REASONABLE, still for the value!!! Heidi (leasing agent) is very efficient at her job and though it is a sales job, she makes it so easy-especially since this property speaks for itself! The grounds are well-maintained. She takes time to return calls, answer emails and answers all your questions. Like I said, I would be a resident here. (Have applied and was accepted twice prior and both times due to personal reasons couldn't move in at the time; however, had I ....it would be a place to call home. (Downtown is only 8min. commute on interstate. Easy, gated access to property. The only thing I noticed is that surrounding area doesn't have too much in way of shopping, entertainment, restaurants, though there is an awesome bike trail near community and of course easy access to any of the major freeways to get to anywhere you'd need to be. Close to airport, also! Crime rate in area is somewhat higher than NW areas, however, renter's insurance prices don't go up-Property has gated entrance with gatehouse/security. Keycard/pad entrance. Some units have security systems. Though like I said, the benefits here far outweigh the latter and just about anywhere you go, there will always be 'crime pockets.') HIGHLY RECOMMEND WATER'S EDGE!!! YOU SHOULD CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!!!

I lived here 3 years and loved every minute! Clean grounds, great floor plans, excellent staff, great service, two parties a year given for residents, as well as two drive-by breakfasts a year given in appreciation for residents. I'm relocating to Texas, otherwise I would never have left.
