Better Than Some, Worst Than Others

Let me start out by telling everyone that I'm a life renter. I've always rented and always will. Security is around and seems to do a good job at keeping loiters off the property. Lighting is good and a must in this high crime area. If you want a sense of security, move to the burbs. Parking is ample if you're a resident, but costly for guests. The appearance is nice, but reminds me of a hotel/motel. The view can be startling in the evenings when you can see all the inmates peering out their windows from the county jail across the street. Management and office staff seem to be getting better with actually providing notice of maintenance. Repairs addressed, but more to a "handy man" degree. Condition of unit is new, so the paint is new, the carpeting is new, the walls must not be insulated since noise levels are high and the heater and air unit is running all the time, and the fixtures are nice compared to some of the dives I've rented in the past. As mentioned, the noise levels are high, so I can hear my neighbors talk, fornicate, dog bark, doors slam, foot steps down the hallway, exterior traffic and sirens, late night bums causing trouble. This is your typical inner-city rental, but a little over priced compared to the other "Luxury Apartment" down town.
