Apartment Reviews for Village Gates Of Delaware - Delaware

First, let me start by saying that I rated this apartment very objectively! It is not my fault that I could not choose anything less than 5 stars for all the categories!

Let me continue by saying I am a very meticulous and researching person. I was coming for an internship for a few months and went to about 10 apartments in the Delaware area. As soon as I saw Village Gates, I was sold! The place is well cared for the management staff and maintenance associates work hard to keep it in pristine condition!

Margie, the manager is fabulous. The maintenance is very quick turn around on any issue, which was always very minor.

The apartment is very nice and since the place was built in 2000, everything is in excellent condition and updated technology. I was in a 1 bedroom apartment that was 755 sq. ft! It was freaking huge! I had a 67" top of the line HD TV and the living room/dining room is so large that even thought that is a massive TV, I had plenty of space for couches, chairs, etc.

The 1 bedroom includes a washer/dryer unit that is good quality and great! Everything was really fantastic!
One thing I really was spoiled by is that I have a very nice entertainment center... well this also includes a $1500 home theater system with one heck of a subwoofer. When I set it up, I immediately wanted to make sure that I would not interfere or infringe upon any of my neighbors, I was on the top floor so I turned on 300, setup my system and subwoofer to a pretty high movie watching level, went outside and could hear a little bit of volume and no bass outside my door. I was pretty shocked. I then went and talked to my neighbors... the neighbor below me had to be convinced I was even doing the test. When I explained the test to her, she asked when I was going to do it... LOL, I had to explain it was already going on. Needless to say the apartments are EXTREMELY WELL INSULATED! AT NO POINT DID I EVER HEAR ANY OF MY NEIGHBORS WHILE IN MY APARTMENT THRU WALLS OR ANYTHING! Sometimes, if it was all quiet, I might hear a very low sound... and that was somebody setting their car alarm. It was the well built and insulated.

Also I am a big guy and was nervous people would hear me 'stomping' across the floor. The management laughed when I expressed my concern before moving in and was very professional with saying they had never fielded this sort of complaint from a resident and that the apartments were well built and insulated. I had to see it for myself and couldn't believe it. So yes, myself, my friends, my family, and everybody I brought to my apartment completely loved it. I would definitely move back there and if I return to Delaware with a full-time position with the company I was with... I will without hesitation rent again and look no where else. They are the best quality and value in Delaware!

Also I wanted to include that this is a gated community, the area around it is pretty nice and the gates are definitely not required. I think it is just to enhance the appeal of the apartment complex.

There is plenty of parking and optional enclosed garages that can be rented too. Their pet policy is always very nice, even though I didn't use it and the animals of residents were very friendly. The residents are also great people and its just a very quiet community. The pool is very nice and never super busy and they have a nice workout room too! Really everything is what you would expect from a very nice apartment complex with a good value in price. In my opinion, this place is under priced on rent, EXCELLENT VALUE!
