Yea, avoid. Layoffproof lease is a lie. ( over a year ago )

The actual appt is nice, the management company are crooks.
If you are a couple, its not 60 days free, its 50% off. If you do not leave by the 63rd day, you are stuck in the lease.
As I had rep after rep say everything was fine and such when we reported in each time that my wife was laid off, then her mom got very ill. We moved less than 1 month after 60 days were up, and knowing full well our situation they only care about 1 thing. Their money. When I found out, I called them, explained the situation, and their rep at the beechwood office was cold as ice as she repeated the terms with no care in the world.

Maybe I'm just fortunate enough to have considerate neighbors, but I've never had any noise problems here - thank god and knock on wood. The apartments are on the pricier side, but they have a spacious layout, and the newly remodeled units (which I moved into) are really nice. They're not peel-and-stick floors and cheap berber carpets, they're plush carpets and tiled floors. The built in wall sconces also add nice ambient light. The place just feels more solid than other apartments I've lived in - no creaking floors, I don't hear my neighbors sneeze, the place is better insulated. Each floor also has its own laundry room, so you generally don't have to wait around all day to get your laundry done, and don't have to walk very far to do it either. In the winter, they're really good about keeping the sidewalks and roads shoveled. I get up early in the mornings, and can hear them out there long before the sun comes up, with the snow blowers and snow trucks. The complex itself is nestled amongst a lot of houses, so you're not out by the road.
My only concern is that my rent went up quite a bit after my first year here. And when I initially visited the complex before I signed a lease, their monthly rates kept changing every time I came back. Be careful what you negotiate with them, and anticipate it going up after your first year. If it goes up again for me this year, I will likely consider moving out.

Only reason I moved into Liberty Hill was because they accepted dogs. When something breaks dont bother trying to get it fixed, we had our drains baked up into our sinks, the toilet backed up into the showers and tub. The power goes off every other month and the never do anything about it, for the price that you pay for these apartments you might as well get a house and fix it your self because you will be anyway!!!! And Goldberg never does anything about any of the problems we have been waitin on maintance for 2months to come fix the doors. The only good thing is that their is low cime rate.

I absolutely love Liberty Hill! We have lived here for over a year and have only had good experiences. I have had just a few maintanence issues, and they were all fixed in a very timely manner. My dealings with all of the staff at Liberty Hill have been pleasant, friendly, and efficent! The suites are well--maintanined, and I have noticed many property upgrades in the year that I have lived here. I previously lived at another Goldberg property and loved it there as well. I moved to be closer to my job. All of my past and present dealings with Goldberg have been outstanding. I would highly reccommend Liberty Hill or any other Goldberg property to anyone in search of an apartment in the area.
