Apartment Reviews for Spring Village Apartments
Seemed great for the price in the beginning............

I've lived here at Spring Village for a little over a year now, and was willing to put up with quite a bit of nonsense here for the price I was paying (moved in at $475 per month). NOW however, I've had enough. Yes there is onsite laundry, but there are only 6 washers for a complex with more people than that can accomodate, it takes maintenance several attempts to fix anything if they can even get them out here in a timely manner to begin with. The maintenance men are super nice but the one for this property is also in charge of fixing 2 other complexes maintenance issues on top of this one which stretches him far too thin. The windows should have been replaced like 20 years ago. In the winter they let in cold air like you're standing right outside, and the moisture is so bad that we have had to clean black mold off the ledges twice now. As far as the residents go, everyone in my building is as nice as can be, we're like a tight knit little community. That's not to say that you can't hear everything throug the floors and the walls because you definitely can....but these 6 apartments in my building have respect for one another and try to keep the noise down. A new manager took over about 6 months ago (there is NEVER management onsite so you can imagine how many things go unnoticed) and they've supposedly been working on "fixing up" the place, but there have been residents who climb in the dumpsters to take out other people's trash, the hallways never get cleaned and the area out back behind the building is so mushy and gross that the kids have nowhere to play so they play in the parking lot. Management's way of dealing with everything is to place it on one of the residents to put up handtyped notes attacking fellow neighbors and then when you call them out on it they talk down to you like children. Being in Springboro in a fantastic neighborhood I would expect much much more from this place. Yes, the rent is inexpensive and it does put you within Springboro City Schools (which were both my main draws) but faced now with renewing my lease, my rent is jumping up $70 and I am not willing to pay that to live in a trash hole like this, as wel as the fact that they waited till the day my lease expired to even speak with me about it - and the only reason I was spoken to is because I called in with a complaint! I would rather pay a bit more to have a nicer apartment, better management, and a place where I'm not embarrased to have people come visit me or raise my children. Joyce rented me the place originally and she was great - apparently they've since gotten rid of her, their mistake. Bob our maintenance guy has been nothing but specatular working within the parameters that they give him, and I think he is a saint to put up with the managment here and how they take advantage of him. Overall, if you must live in springboro and this is all you can afford? It is at least a roof over you head, but if you have any other option my suggestion would be to steer clear of this place! I hope this helps anyone who's looking!
