Apartment Review for Lake Forest Apartments

Between my wife and I, we've lived at Lake Forest between 03 through 09. Regardless, of the countless stories I could tell and nitpicking I could muster, the bottomline is that this place is no longer safe to live in and should not even be considered if you have a family.

There were dozens of fights out in the parking lot wherein the cops needed to be called. Ironically, three nights before we moved out in October of this year, both cars on either side of our vehicle were broken into. Our one neighbor had her laptop stolen in the incident. My wife's roommate had her car broken into at Lake Forest before we were married. A couple times in the last two years we've heard gun shots.

I'm a hard sleeper. But every night cars with bass so loud that it knocked off items on our shelves sit outside at 3 am testing the boundaries of their custom stereo systems. Does one want to confront a group of five sketchy hoodlums on a worknight?

Other points to consider: ultra-thin walls, drafty windows, reoccurring toxic mold, cars travel at 30 mph through the parking lots, half of the buildings are on a hill and have extremely loud sounds of wind (sounds like a train is outside at times), very small space for the price, etc.

Rents have been falling everywhere. You can do WAY better for $700 a month. Please steer clear.
