The Worst Of Tulsa In Owasso

We recently moved back to the Tulsa area. Most of our family lives in Owasso, and it seems like a relatively nice place to live. This complex was brand new and located relatively convenient to everything else in town, and not too far from 169. We thought it seemed pretty nice...

Yes there are ceramic tiles - no, it doesn't make it a nice apartment.
Our dishwasher has never worked and we are the first to live here. Our washer and dryer were included in the apartment - they are mid 90s models. The A/C is completely unreliable - it doesn't tell you the current temp and it's just a slider bar, so it gets too hot at 70, we slide it down to 65, and then it's way too cold - there is no happy medium.
Either there is a constant jamboree taking place in the apartment above us or the noise reduction is just so minimal that every footstep feels like an earthquake.
The overall quality of the apartment, like the moldings and paint job, suggest that this apartment is probably 5-10 years old, because it appears to have multiple layers of paint and also has many scuffs and other minor flaws.
The design of the apartment itself is pretty awful, and the complex as a whole is even worse. Our "view" is supposed to be the "best" of the lot - we can see four stumpy baby trees, one bench, four more buildings surrounding it, and that's pretty much it.
They have instated a $25 fee for not cleaning up after dogs, but they have the worst "landscaping" I have ever seen in an apartment.
My apartment is around $750 for a 1/1 and I cannot understand where that money is or has gone. These are third rate apartments in an area in which there aren't many choices.
I've also noticed that prior to living in these apartments, prior to them being built, this town was one of the most quiet and peaceful I had ever seen. Now, I am no longer surprised when I enter the parking lot and see several Buicks on 18 inch rims that are worth more than the car itself, blaring loud music. The longer I live here, the worse kind of people I see living here. I've actually begun to get a bit scared, and we had always thought that Owasso was much safer than Tulsa.

They decided to make gates barring the entrance/exit to the apartment. The purpose of this eludes me. The gates are extremely slow and annoying and there is no fence that surrounds the apartment, so it doesn't keep anyone from entering, it just prevents residents from being able to exit.
Management is practically nonexistent. Every single time I have called regarding problems that we have experienced, I have encountered our "answering service." A woman answers the phone and cannot give me any information regarding current situations (we have a constant problem where the water main bursts and floods the lot, leaving the apartments without water.) She merely takes messages and I don't understand why they don't just use a machine - it would probably be less frustrating.

If you have any choice - DO NOT LIVE HERE!
