orchard springs apartments is an awful place to live.. When I first moved in there was no violence, we had clean swimming pools, the management was nice but oh gees in the last year there has been 3 murders..2 from gang gun shots and one from a stabbing. Our car windows also got shot out on another night. A women last week was held at knife point and robbed standing outside her apartment. It has all been on the news. Our civil rights have been violated several times by the management trying to stop the crime. We had a security gate built and no one could come in unless they went to the office when it was open and showed their car title, insurance and drivers licences. so if the office is not open your visitors can not come see you..We ask them about this dilemma and they said , oh well if we are not here to screen the visitors they can park outside the gate. There are 200 plus apartments here and there are 3 handicap spaces and 3 regular spaces. So this is suppose to accomodate 200 apartment visitors. This is a violation of our civil rights. I tried to get out of my lease a month early after the car windows got shot out and they said no way. Do yourself and your family a favor do not MOVE here.

I totally agree with this person. It is unsafe to live at this apartment. I moved from there last month after a man literally drove threw the complex. He wrecked three cars and one of them was mine. He drug my car down the drive-way right in front of me. We had to run inside to safety. He was a gang member on some hefty drugs. The apartments lie threw their teeth when they tell people this was an isolated incident. There has been three murders in about the last year at these apartments. the gang members jump the fence alot from the neighborhood behind the complex so the management and security guards can not stop them from coming on property......do not locate in this area.....
thanx anonymous for writing this. I could not have summed all this up better if, I had said it myself. True and accurate depiction of this place. They call this hood "MURDER ONE DISTRICT". Now everyone gets to hear some of the reasons why it got nicknamed this.
