Apartment Reviews for Meadowbrook Apartments - Oklahoma City

I got online to read the reviews of my complex and couldn't believe what I found. Forget that most of them come from 2006, they still seem like they must come from another complex! I always feel safe. It's a great family community. Tons of kids playing, no loud music (it's against the rules no matter what time of day) and the office staff works hard to remember everyone's name. Maintanence requests may take some time on the small things but emergency situations are always responded to immediately. We also have a curfew here so you never hear anything outside after nine o clock, and I've actually known a few people who were escorted back to their apartments by the courtesy patrol after nine. And they have been great about responding to my pages, even though it's just to get the kids out of the parking lot, for their safety. And the space is great! I have so much cabinet space I can't fill it. The management is pretty new but they've always been so nice. And when I do actually have to call maintanence they are always courteous.

Pro's: Nice appearing exterior, maintainance is done fairly quickly upon request, haven't had any problems with crime. One of the laundry rooms has a double loader washer & dryer. Generally quiet after midnight, but usually a booming car or two out in the parking lot during the day and evening. One of the most tolerant pet policies that I've found. Seems to be a mostly middle class residency, not ghetto anyway. <P>
Con's: Sex offender lives 2 buildings down from me, laundry room is usually filthy (the one with the dbl loaders), and usually smells of sewer, pest control never gives 24 hour notice and it's done on a Saturday. Only one entrance usually because the other one is gated and its usually locked. My bathroom sink often emits a sewerish odor, have to pour bleach down it fairly often. The pool in the summer is open haphazardly, no set schedule. <P>

UPDATE: They just installed new washers and dryers.
