Review for Riverchase Apartments

I've been living in Riverchase Apartments for 8 years now, the main reason I stay is because i'm too lazy to move and they have a very flexable pet policy.
The security gate works most of the time, but they blocked the turn around. So that means if someone doesnt belong, they have to be let in by another resident just to leave. The gates main function has to do with traffic control, and nothing to do with security.

The laundry facility in our building is terrible. The machines dont do a very good job, and the washer has been leaking for a year now. The carpet in there is rotting and smells like death. The playwood floor underneath will give way any day now. I know they've tried fixing it a few times, but its still leaking from somewhere.

The hallways are always littered with garbage, and stink of pot. There is a cleaning lady that does an excellent job cleaning those common areas daily, but despite her best efforts the residents continue to trash it.

Crime is realy bad here. The police are here every other night. Mostly for domestic violence. There has been a gun related death here recently too. It didnt make it on the news so nobody realy knows what happened.

The plumbing is bad. I've known quite a few residents that have lived on the bottom floors, have raw sewage backflow and fill their bathtubs.

There is a pool and a very small broken down play thing for the kids. Both areas are usualy overrun by unsupervised bullies, so its not safe. The tennis court in the same area is a "hangout" for druggies, and alchoholics, blasting their boombox, and shooting hoops. Seems they cant say one single sentence without including the word "niggah" in it.

The local elementry school, is rated as one of the city's worst. If you have kids, homeschool them, or send them to private school, or just move. The only thing they learn here is how to abuse each other.

The office staff, and maintence fellows do about the best job humanly possible. Considering that these buildings are very old, and the neighborhood has a high crime rate.
