AND THE FLOORS! These buildings were built in the 30s, and most still have the original wood flooring. With wood that old, it must be restored and maintained periodically. If you haven't noticed a theme here, guess what isn't done. You will get splinters from ****, and possibly trip/fall from the areas where the wood is collapsing. The windows are the same way, single pane, splitting apart, not providing any actual weather control because they're sealed so poorly, etc.

If you do end up moving in, count on spending a week or more deep cleaning the apartment, as they will not. They might surface clean it for you however.
