Foreclosure. ( over a year ago )

Want to live in a building in the process of foreclosure' This is the place for you! Count on fixing all issues yourself, out of your own pocket. Don't even bother asking about any issues you can't resolve yourself. The current property owner is also in some deep ish with the feds for a 4.7 mil mortgage fraud scheme in Jersey. Water to all buildings has been turned off, we got a cut off notice a few months prior because it hadn't been paid in over a year, the electric in the commons was off for I can't recall how many months for the same reason. AND THE FLOORS! These buildings were built in the 30s, and most still have the original wood flooring. With wood that old, it must be restored and maintained periodically. If you haven't noticed a theme here, guess what isn't done. You will get splinters from ****, and possibly trip/fall from the areas where the wood is collapsing. The windows are the same way, single pane, splitting apart, not providing any actual weather control because they're sealed so poorly, etc.
If you do end up moving in, count on spending a week or more deep cleaning the apartment, as they will not. They might surface clean it for you however.
