Not a terrible place to live ( 02/09/2013 )

I really don't mind living here, but it certainly has its faults. I like our immediate neighbors a lot, however, there are 2 junkies living around the corner that make me kind of nervous. I guess a little of that is to be expected with tax credit apartments.. Otherwise, our neighbors are alright. The staff is nice and helpful and the maintenance guys are nice. But the apartment is very very drafty and my electric bill for a small 2 bedroom varies from $80-$140, which seems a bit much. My biggest complaint is maintenance... and I don't mean when we call them, I mean how they fixed this place up before we moved in- They painted the walls and it took me a while to notice this, but there are literally hundreds of hairs painted onto the wall in the bathroom, which is just ridiculous. Also, where the counter meets the floor in the bathroom, they caulked over a penny, some kind of sewing needle, and a pair of tweezers. I got on the floor today to deep clean and I was just appalled at this. Seriously.. who does that? And I'm just a bit disappointed in this place for the price. I had to move in here because of financial reasons at the time, but those are all sorted out now, and I've looked for different apartments and there are cheaper, nicer, non-subsidized apartments in Owasso, but this one had the lowest income requirement, which is what locked me in at the time. The people who run these apartments are very nice, but I just really think they could maintain it better, and I think they should start with repaving their parking lot.

Wildwood Apartments is a wonderful place to live. The neighbors are friendly. It actually feels like a small community, and everyone likes everyone. The management staff is very attentive and listens to all of your concerns. Whenever you have a problem, they are very quick at fixing it. The rent is a wonderful price. You would never know the apartments were made YEARS ago. As far as noise goes, the level is very low. Whenever their are kids playing outside, or someone is yelling across the courtyard, it is very easy to hear their voices through the windows. The people in other apartments, that is another story. I rarely hear anything from my neighbors. In fact, the day we moved in, the kid next door had a birthday party. We didn't hear a thing. I've lived here a month and the first time I heard something significant was last night whenever the person living above us fell out of bed. Even then it was very muted and I wasn't even aware something like that had happened.
All in all, this is a great place to live. I would suggest it to anyone.
