To be fair, we just moved in a month ago. However....
Regarding other complaints I've seen:
We live on the side of the building that doesn't face the train tracks and it is quiet, quiet, quiet. I have taken baths and showers at all different times of day, and we've always had hot water. Our neighbors all seem really nice. Everyone smiles and says hello when they pass you in the hallway. It's cheery.
Now that that's out of the way:
When we moved in to our BEAUTIFUL apartment, the things that we noted on our move-in sheet were all minor. After a day or two, I noticed that we had an ant issue. The manager (Jason the amazing) had someone out to take care of it within a day. And today, randomly, Jason-the-amazing-manager sent over the new maintenance guy (we'll call him Shane-the-Magnificent). He was here to go over all of the piddly little things that we'd noted on our move-in sheet. Things like: the microwave was missing a wheel on the tray that rotates inside - and - our bedroom door doesn't hang quite straight and so is difficult to shut - and - our towel racks were loose. There was a list of about 7 little things, none of which were any kind of huge deal that I'd normally contact Management about, and he fixed them all. Today. And left a cheerful note. I LOVE this place.

We have lived at The Crossings since September 2010 and have had a very good overall experience. Recently the building underwent a management change, the new management seems just as responsive (if not better in most cases) and has been quick to answer our questions. It seems the previous management ran into fiscal trouble and for a few months basically disappeared except for emergencies.
In general we don't hear our neighbors much at all, the 2 min walk to the Civic Drive MAX station is amazing for those that work downtown PDX or other parts of the metro. The location is great for walking to pretty much anything (except groceries). Overall excellent and would recommend to anyone.

We were at the Crossings for about a year and a half and loved it. Not only was the management professional but they were also understanding. We never had an issue wth the noise and if there was a maintenance problem it got fixed right away. I think we only had one. In addition to a well run establishment it was centrally located to convenienct shopping, food, entertainment and easy access to freeways. What more could you want.

We lived there for three years, and I was actually sad to leave the place.
The managers were so helpful, and very attentive to our needs. Some of the neighbors were noisy, at times, but what can you expect with a 4 level building?
The staff was readily available, friendly and are now good friends.
I miss the Crossings and would recommend it to anyone who wants to live somewhere nice, safe, and clean.

I lived at the Crossings for 2 years and didn't have any problems.
Kelly in the main office was great. I miss Jo and the maintenance staff. They took care of any issues right away. Parking was great. Rent was a bit on the higher side but the apartments were higher quality and it was worth it to live in a nice place. I lived in two different units and enjoyed both.
The elevator broke from time to time but they were always on top of fixing the problem. The walls were a bit thin but the complaints were handled right away.
Overall, it was a good place to live and I miss it.

I lived here for a year and a half while I was in college and loved every minute of it. The apartment condition was immaculate and appliances were flawless. My east facing apartment with floor-to-ceiling windows gave me a beautiful view of Mt Hood every day. The underground parking garage was great - it kept my car warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

There are many good points and few bad ones about living at the Crossings. The only bad one in my opinion is that the dishwasher sucks (I use it for storage only) and the elevator is slow.
But I love living in a controlled-access building, I love the pergo floors and the glass stove top, the air conditioning and the washer and dryer. This place is very well insulated too, my power bill is quite low.
the transit police have done a good job of clearing out the riff raff that hung around the station.
I highly recommend it here!

My wife and I lived here for about 1 year and absolutely adored our little apartment. The location is amazing. Some work is being done on the field across the street to make it even more accommodating of a walk (especially if you have a dog, you will like this field). Once you get used to the bustle of cars below you, the noise is not bad. It is a "slow" street and so you don't get the crazy busy street sounds. It is close to the MAX but the MAX doesn't stop too near, so you don't pick up any foot traffic of people heading to the MAX, which is nice. The underground parking is awesome. The storage units are also underground and are awesome. The staff is wonderful, of all of the places I have lived I have never been so impressed with the staff. It is a wonderful little community on the 4th floor (where we lived) and I imagine the other floors are all the same. We had a westward view which gave us the most amazing sunsets I've seen. I know that the people with the east view get to see the mountain and probably some awesome sunrises. Anyway, I definitely recommend this property!
