I got a heck of a deal on an apartment even though it was on the 4th floor (such a pain). The staff was nice as in they paid for a couple people to help me move my items up all those floors. The apartment itself is average. Spacious. The noise is not great. You can hear your neighbors all throughout the day. Kids outside screaming, smell smoke from neighbors on their patio lighting up, SUPER HIGH heating bills. The apartments have ZERO insulation and space under the front door where cold air gets in. The heaters do not do a good job. They have a 24 hour maintenance guarantee....they are usually pretty good about this, but sometimes if you have multiple things that need fixed, guarantee they will forget something and need to come back out.

Here's the catch....I have renters insurance like anyone else....I rented a garage here. BIG mistake. The grounds are not well kept. I parked my car inside as well as storing several items. I soon discovered mouse droppings and immediately called maintenance. What did they do? Told me they "couldn't get into my garage without me and needed me to pick up the poison from the office." BS! You can get into both my apartment AND garage without me being there. As I work hours that are not convenient to when the office is open, I bought my own darn poison. Beware - Renter's insurance DOES NOT cover rodents.
A couple weeks passed and the issue was not getting any better. Actually, it got worse. Another call to maintenance and they put in poison...and ONE trap. WHAT!? That isn't going to solve the problem. At this point I had stopped parking in my garage for fear of the mice messing with my car. I also got yelled at by a maintenance person when I asked if they were able to remove the dead mice traps and re-set. Several calls into maintenance later they had rodent control come out.
Long story short I lost about $8k in items that had been stored in my garage. When I sent a letter to Thorncroft Management about the neglagence of their staff I basically got an FU letter in return. I had to call out my own critter company to remove all damaged items due to the bacteria that lies in mice droppings. They deemed all my items unsalvageable - including priceless family photos. Mice had chewed through bags and boxes, ruined and nested in a box spring, ate clothing, etc. There was no food or anything in that garage that would have attracted them. There obviously was an area or hole in the back of the garage where they were able to get in. Staff did nothing to help me out. No apologies. Renter/tenant act notes I'm the one responsible for keeping mice out. HOW THE F do think I can do that if you don't keep your garages maintained!!!!!?????
DO NOT RENT HERE or at the very least DO NOT RENT A GARAGE!
