Apartment Review for Riverside Villa

I lived here for about 2.5 years and couldn't be more excited to move out. Where to start...

The management is often hard to get a hold of and does a poor job of returning phone calls and following up on problems. My dishwasher was out of service for over 4 months before it was fixed just after I moved in. These apartments share a commuity laundry room which is in rough shape and is usually dirty. There are only 3 washers and 3 dryers for the entire complex. There is a pool here, but it is not kept all that clean and typiccally breaks down for weeks at a time. The parking situation is strange. People are assigned spaces but there is no enforcement and the parking spaces allotted may not even be near your door. There are only 4 guest spaces which are constantly filled by residents extra vehicles. The apartments are not all that appealing from the outside and the grounds dont seem to get much upkeep. There was a light pole laying on it's side next to my parking space for months last winter. I should also point out that there tends to be a "rough" crowd in many of the apartments in this complex. This may be due to the section 8 eligibility for some of the units.

I would strongly suggst you check around this neighborhood for better deals. I think the rent is over priced for what you get. It has been raised almost $100 since I moved in. Just three blocks away off Addy I have a friend who currently has a similar townhouse apartment with a larger backyard, better management, and a washer/dryer in the apartment for less that I have ever paid here (she pays $695 I pay $792).
