Good place to live, Reasonable Rent ( 10/04/2012 )

Reviewed by: Anonymous
We lived in a two bedroom with a nice view for three years. The manager wasn't around much but the owners took good care of the place. The fix-it staff was quick to take care of things and the grounds were kept nice. The apartments are big and cheaper than many in the area. The view will be hard to live without. Good neighbors and close to Hawthorne and Division. The only thing we didn't like was that there was only one parking spot, but there's plenty of street parking. Good place to live.

Lived here 5 years and had a great experience. The apartments are large and well maintained. The management is very quick to respond to any needs. The rent is very reasonable and includes water and trash. The only reason we are moving is to get a dog. We recommend Crown Point!

I have lived here for 3 years. It isn't swanky or top of the line, but it is a great price with great management and a very large living area. It is also close to 4 bus lines.
If there is an issue all you need to do is ask and its done. If for some reason it isn't fixed immediately, it is important to follow up with the onsite management, the maintenance guy or in urgent cases call or email the landlord. She is more than willing to fix things especially if left in disrepair it would cause more problems down the road. She is more than reasonable and accommodating.
The walls are a bit thin, but we hadn't noticed until a new neighbor with a loud child moved in recently. It only affects us in the living room and it is totally quiet in the bedroom (the most important room).
For those that noted problems with maintenance or bedbugs, you just need to speak up. We are all human and notes can get lost or something could seemingly be more urgent. Maintenance is handled by one person.
BTW, Bedbugs are probably from second hand furniture you brought home from the dumpster or easily transferred from someone you were sitting next to on the bus. It should never have gotten to the point of a lawyer, you are obviously leaving some major details out.
Please leave constructive criticism and descriptions on this site. It is unfair to air out dirty laundry and completely irrelevant to make judgements on your neighbors car and clothes. It has nothing to do with the quality of the complex or management.

I lived at this apartment building for almost 3 years and I loved my place. I had hardwoods and all the rooms were big. The landlord took good care of the place. Every time I phoned the maintenance person showed up and took care of the problem. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to town. Loved my neighbors. Moved to the midwest and miss it.

I really loved living in this building. Great location in an awesome part of town. I lived in this complex for almost two years without any problems. If something was broken, it was fixed really quickly. The maintenance was awesome and the management was the best team that I have ever had living in any apartment. The grounds were kept clean and as a single woman I felt safe 100% of the time. If I am ever able to move back to Portland I hope they have an open unit. I would move in again in a second. Can't say enough of positive things about living there

These apartments are spacious, have nice hardwood floors and a view but that is about it. The property is completely overgrown with blackberry and weeds and things are never cleaned up (leaves, paint, etc.). The gutters are clogged and broken which creates a downpour on my porch and there are ants and rats. All the windowsills are moldy and I had a problem with mold actually growing on the walls. But by far the worst thing about living here is the noise, the walls are so thin, I can hear every move anyone I share a wall/ceiling with makes. Beware of the good first impression because there are a lot of problems here

Lived here for one year and liked it. Safe, good fix-it man, good manager. Well-kept. Bad parking for guests but ok for tenants. Good location, and near the bus. Very quiet.

A great location near Hawthorne, Powell, Foster, and Division. Nice older units, friendly and helpful management, and a great maintenance staff that is fast and gets it done right the first time.

We lived here for almost 2 years and loved it. Big apartment with an awesome view. Safe and quiet with good neighbors. Close to everything, especially Hawthorne. Everything that needed to be fixed was fixed right away. No problems. Nice manager Only one parking spot and wish they had inside washer and dryers instead of a laundry room. Overall a good value.

I like living here, there was some things that needed fixed when I moved in, they were taken care of the next day. When I moved in everything was nice and clean. It would be nice if there was more than one parking place per unit, But if this is all I have to complain about life ain't so bad.
