Apartment Reviews for La Tourelle Apartments - Portland

I've lived here for quite awhile now, and I've always had a good experience. The complex isn't new, the apartments are very basic, but they are decently maintained and have enough room. The manager is in the office pretty consistently and has always been willing to work with me if I need to make a payment plan or discuss an issue. Every time I have a maintenance issue it is usually taken care of within about 24 hours (same day or next day service) and within an hour the one time I had a leak. Only once did a maintenance issue take longer and that was because they had to order a part. I did have an issue with another tenants friend using my space, but when I have told the office about it, they tagged the car and it hasn't been a problem since (there is usually plenty of visitor space.)
I have always felt pretty safe here. No property is without problems, but the staff and the owner seem to be working slowly but surely to fix the problems and update the place.
I have talked to a lot of the other tenants around here, and many of them want instant gratification, which isn't possible, or they never get around to reporting if there is a problem, which means the office and maintenance staff never know there is a problem. This is a decent place to live, but it isn't a ritzy place. If you are looking for a good basic place with good service, then this is a great place to live.
