Apartment Review for Powell Gardens

So the good, NIcely landscaped. The first of the month when rent is due you can go to manager's apt to pay and get free doughnuts and coffee. we got a one bedroom for 525 w/one month lease. Even though what attracted us was a big banner that stated they had 1 bedroom appts avail for 499. The Bad, Car was broken into twice. Walls are paper thin, we had **** star's in training that lived next door, and someone that must have had cynder blocks for feet that lived up above us. We had a newborn baby that our friendly neighboors said they heard cry everynight. One day it started raining from our kitchen light fixture and I ran over to the manager (lives onsite) and informed them and when she got around to it, she casually laughed with the repair man trying to figure out what was going on, all the while I had a newborn baby who was in need of a warm bottle. I had to stay with a friend for 2days until it was fixed. Everytime after that, when i would turn on the sink it would electrocute you and this was supposed to be the baby's bathtub. Manager shruged it off until he felt it for himself and jumped 3ft from the shock. They moved us into a new apt and hired movers to help though they said they had to leave early and couldn't finish the job (then they re-rented the dangerous apt out quickly even though electrician said they would need to gut the walls out.) Managers gave us rent discout against the advise of princeton property managment. 4 washer/dryers for the whole complex and atleast one was broke down at all times. HIgh School's football field is accros the street so expect loud wistles and screaming soccer moms early on the weekends and band practice and roaring football/lacross games during the week with an abundance of people taking up the street parking for these times. <P>
