Apartment Review for Rosegate Apartments

I recently lived at the Rosegate apartments. I wanted to love the Vintage, Green, no elevator, no disposal, no dishwasher, no air conditioning, and no parking no matter what. I decorated, I repaired and I took more crap from the abusive landlord than any paying renter on the planet deserves.

The building has had a tremendous amount of construction and increased rents....but the roof fell in on two renters a few months ago and the Owner didn't care one bit. He chased everyone out. The place is disgusting, at best. The washers and dryers don't work, so everyone uses the laundromat. This is because the owner is so cheap-he doesn't want to pay for the water, or power. He disconnected the heaters in the building -in the basement, where the Laundry room is-which is 40 degrees on any day, put a door on the common area containing the breaker boxes for every unit and put a pad lock on it. So, if you have an emergency.....or a fire.....well....he just plain doesn't care. the "onsight manager" is useless. She is very busy and the owner tells her nothing and she has no ability to handle any real problems. The owner doesn't answer calls, return them or keep his word. DON'T be fooled! The place is as bad as it gets.....worse.

I spent two weeks making my apartment PRISTINE before moving out. He charged me $800 to rekey the building and replace the locks on my door for the next tenant. Not legal, ethical.....just a bad deal. It is the biggest scam in town and the guy owns quite a few Northwest Properties. Renter BEWARE.
