Review for The Lafayette At Valley Forge Apartments

This appartment complex comes in often times at the lower end of the spectrum in the KOP area. So expect that it's not perfect, But IMO it's a very good deal for those people that would rather save money on rent then have a perfect living space.

Yes the railroad is close, No I don't notice anymore. I don't hear my neighbors (There are concrete walls and ceilings which are a definite plus).

The complex is generally well kept, the staff makes mistakes and generally works to fix them. Sometimes they're a little slow on smaller problems but the big ones got fixed fairly fast. I received a knock on my door at 3 am by a maintenance guy saying my water heater was leaking ( the unit below us was flooding) he got us a new water heater installed before 8 am whereas it took them almost 2 months to replace a screen that had holes in it.

The worst part of this appartment complex is leaving. Not that I miss the place but they do rape you when you leave. I've lived at the complex for almost three years and they're still going to charge me an extra months rent because I'm leaving 3 months before my "lease ends" date.

IE: This is very important:

A) You MUST give them 60 days notice before leaving (otherwise they charge you for each day below 60 + one months rent for not telling them) B) You must give them 1 year (+ 60 days) notice before leaving (otherwise they charge you a months rent this is the "breaking the lease" clasue that if you don't set up you're lease to end on the date you plan on moving you owe them an extra months rent) Which IMO is Absolute BS>

In conclusion

After that again, Nice appartment, you get what you pay for and as long as you know it'll cost you to leave you'll be ready for it.
