CHEAP PIECE OF CRAP ( 12/10/2012 )

Reviewed by: Anonymous
I lived there for a year... On the ground level.. when we moved we discovered nasty mold all over the walls behind out couches.. NOT OKAY! The bugs were disgusting.. i have never seen so many of those creepy fast bugs with a million legs in my life! Walking your dogs in the swamp was a real joy! Its nice that they keep pet owners in the same complexes but they constantly left notices of not taking your dogs out front when the back of the building was nasty foamy green swamp like disgustingness that gave my dog a rash and caused us to go see a vet more than once!
When they do construction they dont care to let you know, leaving doors open, throwing carpets out windows at all hours of the day.. and then theres the house calls when people show up and dont even nock when they walk into your apartment for a service you werent even aware of.
This place is CHEAP AS ****! Our windows never stayed open because they bowed out and were broken from the day we moved in.. We spent a lot of money cleaning the apartment even steam cleaned the rugs till they were as perfect as possible.. We got a bill in the mail for 700 replacement for carpets! No explaination or statement of the bill... No proof it actually cost them over 700 bucks to replace a carpet! And id like to actually see the place because i doubt they replaced anything.. this whole complex is as cheap as it gets.. if your in a bind like i was.. you can deal with it for a year.. but not without a lot of HEADACHES

I have been living here for several months and I am so ready to break my lease and move. I was told by the leasing crew that my apartment has an upgraded bathroom (Brand New Bathtub) They lied! My tub was painted white, the paint has been chip away and the old original blue tub is showing through. I have never seen a cockroaches or stinkbugs until I moved here. The first 2 months, I have woke up to cockroaches (which they call waterbugs), centipedes, baby roaches stinkbugs and huge beetles. I literally request for an extermination twice a month. The pest solution guy know me by name. The leasing office will lie to you and say that the cockroaches are waterbugs. The maintenance guys are nice and prompt. My stove went out and the nice maintenance man got me a brand new one that night. The parking lot is pitch dark no lighting. However, I haven't had any problem with car vandalism. Some of the tenants and their kids are nasty and lazy because instead of putting their garbage in the trash dumpster, so they leave their garbage on the street next to the dumpster. I haven't felt comfortable here since I have moved here. There are 1000 units and the leasing office is filling it with nasty people (anybody). Since I have been here someone threw away a mattress with traces of bedbugs. All I can say is BEWARE! It's not home sweet home.

Most wonderful, like home, and office staff Joanne Malcolm very attentative to our needs, maintenance when needed deserves 5 stars, also office staff. Would come back and rent if working in that area again, best thing next to being home. Would recommend looking for a place to call home to go to Hatfield Village, another 5 stars to maintenance workers.

I just read some of the reviews of my community and I am shocked. I went up on this site because we just moved and purchased a house and I wanted to tell others of my grand experience at Hatfield Village Apartments. I would definetly recomend this comunity to all. The leasing and management staff were friendly , kind and professional. Thank you for 7 great years. The prices are affordable and no other community in the area can beat them. Maintenance was good and the community functions were fun. <P>

I transferred to PA from another state with the hopes of selling my home. I took a short term lease. My apartment was well maintained and the maintenance dept. always responded the same day. As luck would have it, my home did not sell and it was necessary for me to return. Because of the short term flexible leasing that Hatfield offered everything worked out for the best. The grounds are beautiful and the ameneties can't be beat.

I resided in this community for over 5 yrs. before purchasing my first home. It provided clean, affordable living for myself and my family. The maitenance dept. was dependable and the staff friendly. By living in this development we were able to save for our dream home. I would not hesitate to reccommend this complex which offered tennis, pool, playgrounds and even a fitness center and courtesy bus.
