Review for Chestnut Hill Village Apartments

If you are looking in the Philadelphia area for apartments I wouldn't suggest looking here. For the past few years the complex has been in process of remodeling their apartments. When we were ready to move in we looked at newly remodeled apartments and the old ones. There was no true difference between the two except new carpet and new appliances. There are basic things about the apartment and the complex itself that make if a mediocre place to live. In our bedroom the drywall above our bed is cracked and sagging. When I called the complex to fix it they painted over it. The washer and dryer have both broke. The walls in the bathroom and bedroom get this weird yellowish/green film on it (our neighbor has the same thing in their apartment). We had leaves from the trees covering the sidewalk until February, which was very dangerous. The leaves would become slippery and freeze when cold and cause people to slip. The staff never responded to this complaint when I made it in December. It took two months to be taken care of. The management staff is condescending and unresponsive. I've called the complex several times and they rarely return my calls. The experience of Chestnut Hill is good but if you are looking for a place around here, you can do better than Chestnut Hill Village. Don't waste your money here.
